Category Selection and Crossover

Select the product category that best describes the majority of what you sell. The Vendor.App allows 3 of each category to book in every market. By selecting and paying for a space at any of the markets available you are acknowledging and accepting that there will be some crossover at our event. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this you may contact our applications team at applications@buildingcommunityinc.com

Right to Revoke

I understand and agree that BCI reserves the right to revoke any vendor's acceptance and access into a market at any time.

Photos & Videos

I understand and agree that Building Community Inc. may use photos of my table, set-up, products or of myself in/for promotional materials in print or online including but not limited to photos and videos.

Vendor Tables

I understand that BCIโ€™s Vendor Tables are mandatory in the majority of the venues listed with Building Community Inc.

I understand that I will be provided a Vendor Table for every market venue unless otherwise notified and that its rental and set-up fee has been included in my vendor fee.

I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure the Vendor Table is returned in the exact state it was presented in.

I understand and agree not to use the Vendor Table for any open food or drinks.

I understand and agree not to place any displays or stands that may cause dents or scratches on the surface of the Vendor Tables.

I understand and agree not to place any heavily coloured or newly dyed items on or near the Vendor Tables that might affect or alter its colour or composition.

I understand and agree that if the Vendor Table is returned with noticeable damage to any of its surfaces a repair fee will be charged to my account and credit card on file.

I understand that I will be required to bring my own stool or chair to a market.

I understand and agree that coats or sweaters are not permitted to be hung from my chair and my chair must be tucked in when not in use to maintain a clean market space.

I understand that camping chairs or any other large bulky or invasive type of seating will not be permitted.

I understand and agree that I will not be permitted to bring any other shelving, racks, standing, floor displays unless given expressed permission in writing to do so.

I understand that if I am an apparel vendor I am permitted to bring 1 single rack and must notify applications@buildingcommunityinc.com before the market.

I understand and agree that I will be permitted a maximum of 2 bins to keep under my table.

I understand and agree that the space in front, behind, and around about my Vendor Table must be free from garbage, debris or additional products and displays.

I understand and agree nothing will be hung from the tops of the kiosk canopies or on the fronts of the Vendor Tables.

I understand that the signage created with a vendor's logo is paid for and is owned by BCI and must remain attached to the kiosk at all times.

I understand that due to any circumstance if a sign with my logo is not provided and I will be permitted to display my own sign.

I understand that I do not have permission to take any provided signs with me when I leave.

I understand that unless my Vendor Table has direct access to a power outlet, no electrical cords/extension cords will be permitted to run across any surface of the activation site.


Arriving Late

I understand that I must arrive at the set-up time provided to me and be fully set up by the time the market begins. 

I understand that if I have not arrived 30 minutes prior to the start of the market my Vendor Table will be removed from the activation site and a refund will not be issued.

Payment Processing

I understand that my deposit and any payments made towards my vendor space are non-refundable. 

I understand that if there is a failed attempt to collect a remaining payment my market space will immediately be released and available for another vendor to select.

I understand that if there is a failed attempt to collect a remaining payment my account will be flagged and placed on hold.

I understand that it will be my responsibility to contact the accounting@buildingcommunityinc.com if my account has been placed on hold.

I understand that if my account is flagged and placed on hold I forfeit my space and any payments made for future markets are non-refundable.

I understand that my placement in the market layout cannot be moved/changed before/during the day of the market.

I understand when purchasing a vendor space it is my registered business that must utilize that space during the market and not any other business.

On-Site Coordinators

I understand that an on-site coordinator will be onsite to assist vendors throughout the day with any questions or concerns.

I understand that it is part of BCI's contractual agreement with the venue to collect our sales numbers each day and that the on-site coordinator will request these numbers.

I agree to share these sales numbers at the end of each market day.

I agree to be respectful, welcoming, and tolerant of fellow vendors, visitors, and On-site Coordinators regardless of ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, economic status, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, age, national origin, race, and religious identity's objective of your personal and/or religious beliefs.

I agree to respect personal space and boundaries. Do not touch people or their assistive devices/equipment without consent. Be mindful of common courtesy and those around you.

I understand that inappropriate behaviour or harassing behaviour is not tolerated. Inappropriate and harassing behaviour can take many different forms and can include, but is not limited to, general rude behaviour and language, the use of foul language or insulting remarks, racial slurs, offensive displays, jokes, threats or threatening behaviour, destruction of property, leering, stalking, staring, physical violence and verbal assault towards the On-site Coordinators, our set-up crew, organizers, partners and vendors of this community, our digital community and/or any guest of the market.

I understand On-site Coordinators have the right to remove any vendor from a market at any time.


Supporting Documents

I understand that if I am a FOOD VENDOR I must prepare my products in a certified kitchen and follow all regional guidelines and requirements regarding food and the preparation of food for sale.

I understand that I will be required to upload any supporting documentation to showcase this.

I understand that BCI may disclose that my business is selling food at the market to Public Health to follow government food safety guidelines and that a copy of my report could be requested by Public Health. Failing to provide the certification upon request could result in a fine from Public Health against my business.

I understand that if I am a SKIN CARE VENDOR I must have a Health Canada Cosmetic Number and proper product labels.

I understand that I will be required to upload any supporting documentation to showcase this.

I agree to abide by Canadian Law and will not sell any products that are illegal, or involve infringing copies and counterfeit trade-marked goods.

I understand that I will be required to upload any supporting documentation to showcase this.

I understand that I need to disclose my total revenue figure acquired over each market date.

Insurance

I acknowledge that Building Community Inc. is a registered, legal corporation operating in Canada and is fully insured.

I understand that I will be required to obtain a one-day small business event insurance policy or provide proof of an existing policy for my business.


Refund Policy

I understand that my deposit and any payments made towards my vendor space are non-refundable.

I understand and agree that dropping out of a market last minute will jeopardize my ability to join the market in the future.

I understand that it is my responsibility to notify applications@buildingcommunityinc.com as soon as possible if I am unable to attend a market. 

Between November 1st and January 31st of every year BCI's Office/Admin team will be effectively Out of Office. Due to the nature of our business and the season, it's all hands on deck to bring our markets together! Any requests or account changes will not be processed during this time. Our email will remain open but with limited and delayed response times. Thank you for your understanding and support!

I understand that my access to the Vendor.App can be revoked should myself or my business not adhere to Building Community Inc.โ€™s Best Practices.

I acknowledge that I have been informed of the following: 1. I am responsible for any certifications or regional requirements pertaining to the products I sell. 2. Building Community Inc. and their contracted associates are not responsible for any lost or stolen goods before during or after a market. 3. I am allowing Building Community Inc. to use any images/logos for advertisements for the event/future events. 4. My payment is non-refundable. 5. I will abide by the setup timelines and guidelines outlined on each market detail page and follow all rules above regarding the use of Vendor Tables. 6. I need to disclose my total revenue figure acquired over each market date 7. Building Community Inc. has the right to reschedule a market due to any unavoidable occurrence such as but not limited to weather delay, venue lockout or any other uncontrollable circumstance and that my payment will be rolled forward as a credit to another market 8. The vendor will not make or permit any statements in writing, verbal or social media platforms to damage the reputation of the organization/organizers.
